キプロス一人旅②！前回（①）はラルナカ城や聖ラザロ教会を観光しましたが、今回はいよいよメインイベント——地中海でのダイビングに挑戦します！果たして初心者が沈没船を見られるのか…？（結論から言うと、紆余曲折ありつつも最高でした笑）
快晴の地中海でダイビング！ゼノビア号へGO / Diving the Zenobia Wreck in Larnaca
快晴！気温も暖かく（3月なのにコートいらず！）、これ以上ないダイビング日和。今回予約したのはGet Your Guideの体験ダイビングツアーです。

評価：めちゃくちゃ高評価！インストラクターの対応が丁寧で明るく、本当に最高でした☺️
ただし…レビューにもちらほらあるように、完全初心者（ダイビング0回）にはちょっとハードルが高いかも笑。「泳げる・ある程度水に慣れている」ことが実質必要です。
🚢 ゼノビア号とは？ / About the Zenobia Wreck
ゼノビア号（MV Zenobia）は1980年にキプロス沖で沈没したスウェーデンのフェリー。処女航海中にバラストシステムの不具合で傾き始め、修理のためラルナカ港に停泊中にそのまま沈没。乗組員と乗客は全員救出されましたが、積載されていた約100台のトラックと大量の貨物ごと沈んでいます。現在は世界トップクラスのダイビングスポットとして知られ、今でもトラックや貨物が水中に沈んだまま残っています。水深は最浅部で約16m、最深部は42mに及びます。
The MV Zenobia is a Swedish ro-ro ferry that sank in 1980 on her maiden voyage due to a ballast system malfunction. She now rests on her side 16–42m below the surface near Larnaca, and is considered one of the world’s top wreck diving sites. Around 100 trucks and their cargo remain on board.
いざ実践！沈没船ダイブの現実 / The Real Diving Experience
ラルナカの港からダイビングボートに乗り込み、約10分沖に出たところがダイビングポイント。他の参加者はベテランから5〜6回経験者ばかり。到着した瞬間、みんな次々と即ダイブ。まるで映画「海猿」の世界でした笑
で、私はというと…最初の潜水で深さ1mほどのところで「あ、やっぱり無理！」と自ら浮上してしまいました😂 耳抜きがうまくいかず、水への恐怖感が勝ってしまったんですね。インストラクターさんが本当に丁寧に付き添ってくれて、何度も練習を重ねた結果——最終的には沈没船まで到達！トラックが水中に横たわっている光景は圧巻で、大満足の結果になりました！🤿
⚠️ 注意！帰還後はシャワーなし / No Shower on the Boat
ダイビング後、船上ではシャワーは使えません。帰港後に自分で対応する必要があります。私は宿（Le Mat Hostel）が近かったのでそのまま宿に戻ってシャワーを浴びられましたが、遠い場合は事前に対策を考えておくといいかも。
The boat ride to the dive site takes about 10 minutes. Other divers ranged from experienced to semi-experienced — they jumped in without hesitation the moment we arrived, just like a scene from a movie! I personally surfaced at 1m depth on my first attempt (ear equalization issues), but with patient guidance from the instructor, I eventually made it to the wreck. Seeing trucks lying on the ocean floor was absolutely incredible! Note: There are no showers on the boat — plan accordingly.
昼から堂々とお酒！キプロス料理でお疲れさま🍺 / Post-Dive Lunch & Drinks
ダイビングを終えて陸に上がったら、おなかペコペコ！ラルナカのローカルレストランへ。お店の名前を失念してしまったのが痛恨のミスなんですが😢、とにかく安くて旨かった！
注文したのはキプロス名物のスブラキ（Souvlaki）——豚肉の串焼きをピタパンに乗せてサラダとフライドポテト添え。これだけ食べて、さらにお酒も飲んで…なんと€15以内！ダイビングで疲れた体に染みわたる美味しさでした。いや、沈没船を見た後の一杯は格別だよ笑。
昼間から堂々とビールを飲む背徳感がたまらない。これぞひとり旅の醍醐味というやつです。

After diving, nothing beats a cold beer and local food! I ordered Souvlaki (grilled pork skewers) served with pita bread, salad, and fries. Total for food AND drinks came in under €15 — incredible value. Unfortunately I forgot the restaurant name, but it was near the harbor. Apologies for that one 😅
午後は海辺でまったりチル / Afternoon Chill by the Mediterranean
ランチのあとは、特に予定もなかったので地中海沿いのビーチでのんびり過ごしました。キプロスの3月は上着がいらないほど暖かく、日差しも強め。砂浜に座ってボーッとしているだけで最高の午後でした笑。観光客もそこまで多くなく、静かにチルできたのが良かった！
After lunch, I had no particular plans, so I just wandered down to the Mediterranean beach and chilled out for the afternoon. March in Cyprus is surprisingly warm — no jacket needed! Just sitting on the sand, gazing at the turquoise sea. Not too many tourists around, so it was a peaceful and relaxing time. Honestly, sometimes the best travel moments are the unplanned ones 😌
キプロス、行きたくなりましたか？まとめ / Final Thoughts: Would You Go to Cyprus?
というわけで2日間のキプロス一人旅、いかがでしたか？正直、行く前はあまりイメージがなかったキプロスですが、行ってみたら大正解でした！海は透明度抜群で美しく、どこか以前訪れたマルタを思い出す雰囲気。でも物価はマルタより安めで、3月でも上着なしで過ごせるほど暖かい。観光客が多すぎないのもポイント高し！
So, are you thinking about visiting Cyprus now? 😄 I have to say — Cyprus totally exceeded my expectations. The sea is crystal clear and gorgeous, reminding me a lot of Malta (which I visited before). But Cyprus feels more affordable and less crowded. In March it was warm enough to walk around in just a t-shirt, which was a huge bonus. If you’re looking for an underrated Mediterranean destination, Cyprus is absolutely worth it. Go dive, eat souvlaki, and chill by the sea — you won’t regret it!
